Black Sheep Coffee Joins the South West Coffee Scene with 9 Store Agreement Across Devon and Cornwall

Black Sheep Coffee has announced a new franchise partnership covering the counties of Devon and Cornwall, marking the brand’s first move into the South West with a minimum 9-store development agreement. This will be led by an experienced local hospitality operator who brings a strong understanding of the region’s people, places, and values.

The rollout will see a mix of formats and locations across both counties, including vibrant city hubs such as Exeter and Plymouth, both thriving university towns with a strong student population that aligns closely with Black Sheep Coffee’s core customer base. Each site will have the recognisable Black Sheep Coffee design, complementing the independent spirit and community focus that define the region’s high streets.

Founded by university friends who left corporate careers to “leave the herd behind,” Black Sheep Coffee has grown from a single London shop into one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent coffee brands. Despite that growth, its entrepreneurial, community-first approach remains at its core, empowering local partners to shape stores that fit naturally within their neighbourhoods.

Each store will serve Black Sheep Coffee’s distinctive Robusta beans, sourced directly and roasted in the UK, alongside colourful matcha lattes, Norwegian waffles, and an all-day menu designed to wake up the high street.

Izzy Childs, EMEA Growth Director, commented, “Devon and Cornwall are known for their incredible food culture and strong local identity. Partnering with a local operator ensures every store reflects its community, supporting local jobs, and adding something genuinely new to the region’s coffee scene. We can’t wait to become part of the South West’s thriving independent coffee landscape.”
