Hagel will not play after leaving in the first period of a 7-3 loss to the New York Rangers; Lightning coach Jon Cooper said the forward could return Sunday against the Vancouver Canucks “or a month from tomorrow.’’ … Hedman, a defenseman, will miss his second straight game. … Pelletier will make his season debut after being called up from Syracuse of the American Hockey League on Saturday. … Paul practiced Friday; Cooper said he hopes to have the forward back next week. … The Panthers are expected to dress the same 18 skaters they used in a 6-3 win against the Washington Capitals on Thursday.
