EastEnders confirms new prime suspect in Zoe Slater mystery in early iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (20 November), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has confirmed who could be behind the sinister threats against Zoe Slater, after an unexpected discovery puts one character directly in the frame. This week Zoe became more convinced than ever that someone is out to get her.
Alfie, still suspecting that Zoe herself is making these threats, reached breaking point and asked her to leave after Ernie got injured by his big sister’s pepper spray.
However, things changed when the family heard a disturbance in the barrel store and came across a frightening message that Zoe couldn’t possibly have written herself.
Alfie apologised to Zoe for doubting her in today’s episode and promised that he and Kat will keep her safe. The police weren’t interested in investigating, but Alfie found an earring outside the barrel store that could belong to the perpetrator.

This led Zoe to believe that it was Vicki who was carrying out the threats, deeming her to have the biggest motive after everything that’s happened with Sharon.
Zoe, Kat and Alfie headed to see Jack and asked him to investigate the stalking ordeal, but he refused to help unless there was proper evidence.
Taking matters into her own hands, Zoe confronted Vicki in the Square, but Vicki denied the accusations – making it clear that she could do a lot worse if she wanted.

Zoe remained sure of her theory and asked for Kat’s help to prove Vicki’s guilt. She broke into Vicki’s house while Kat kept watch, and desperately searched for the other earring to match the one found in the pub.
But Kathy arrived with some shopping and caught Zoe in the act. Zoe was marched back to The Vic, and Alfie was furious that Zoe and Kat had gone to such extreme measures to get to the truth.

Zoe ended up back at square one, and Kat insisted that she was going to help her daughter find the culprit. But she and Alfie were left stunned when Jean spotted the earring on the bar and thanked them for finding her missing piece of jewellery.
Does this mean that Jean is Zoe’s stalker?
