Carney eyes MAJOR cabinet PURGE

WATCH THE FULL EPiSODE BELOW
Prime Minister Mark Carney may be preparing a major cabinet overhaul, according to Toronto Sun columnist Brian Lilley. Lilley says the shuffle is designed to shed Trudeau-era loyalists and bring in new faces as Carney works to put his own stamp on the Liberal Party.
One of the most high-profile departures is expected to be Industry Minister Melanie Joly, who is reportedly eyeing the post of Canada’s ambassador to France. Her potential exit — along with possible departures by Chrystia Freeland, Bill Blair and Jonathan Wilkinson — would open up several Liberal strongholds for new candidates aligned with Carney’s new direction for the party.
Marc Patrone speaks with Brian Lilley about what the cabinet shakeup could mean, why key ministers may be moved out, and how Carney is positioning his government for an election year.
