Mr Tumble ‘made Wayne Rooney get the snip’ as Man Utd icon rants at CBeebies legend

Wayne Rooney explained the reason why he got the snip as the Manchester United legend launched an extraordinary rant at CBeebies legend Mr Tumble

Mr Tumble is the reason why Wayne Rooney got the snip, the Manchester United legend has brilliantly claimed.
The popular CBeebies children’s TV character, played by entertainer Justin Fletcher, is a clown who participates in fun and educational activities with children, but it appears he isn’t the biggest hit with everybody who has to sit through an episode.
And Rooney made no bones about his feelings towards Mr Tumble when the conversation on his BBC Sport podcast, The Wayne Rooney Show, went off at a bizarre tangent when the topic turned from football to Rooney speaking about his vasectomy.
The original topic was about holidays, with 40-year-old Rooney sharing that his favourite trips away were when he used to go to Butlins in Skegness with the boxing club.
When he was asked about who the entertainment was by presenter Kae Kurd, Rooney took time to think before BBC host Kelly Somers replied that Mr Tumble would make appearances, subsequently sending Rooney into a rant.

“I hate Mr Tumble,” the former England captain fumed. “I was in the dressing room for Match of the Day, and his dressing room was next to me; Justin his name isn’t it?
“And the reason I hate him, I don’t hate him and what he does, but I’ve had to sit through it four times. Every kid. I’ve been through him four times.
“It’s got to the point now where I just can’t. He’s the reason I got the snip! I couldn’t have another kid to go through it again.”
Rooney’s comments left the podcast in stitches, with even the production team behind the camera unable to contain their laughter.
Football content creator Steve Bracknell chimed in during the laughter: “There’s your headline! Mr Tumble made me have the snip – Rooney”. And the Royal Oak manager was spot on.

Fans in the comments section also reacted to the hilarious comment, as one user quipped: “First time I’ve ever agreed with Rooney.”
A second said: “I don’t hate Mr Tumble. Bing, on the other hand. . .” A third agreed with Rooney, saying: “I’m with your man!”
If you’re hoping Rooney’s comments will spill into beef similar to Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk biting back every time the five-time Premier League winner criticises his and the Reds’ performances while they sit 12th in the table, you might be waiting some time.
However, it’s not impossible given Mr Tumble also has his own BBC Podcast. But it’s unfortunately unlikely that ‘Mr Tumble’s Nursery Rhymes’ will go off at a similar tangent to Rooney’s podcast to fire back at the United legend’s managerial career.
