Ryan Reynolds Partners with Freddie Freeman on Annual SickKids Foundation Charity

Famed Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has announced his partnership with first baseman Freddie Freeman of the LA Dodgers. The two are working together to help promote the annual holiday fundraising campaign with SickKids Foundation.
As part of the campaign, Reynolds and Freeman are encouraging Canadians to donate to the SickKids Foundation by December 24th. All donations will be matched up to $1 million this season. Donations will be used to support “life-changing equipment at SickKids.”
For over a decade, the SickKids Foundation has been running campaigns throughout the holidays to raise money. This year, Reynolds and Freeman are joining forces. On X (formerly Twitter), Reynolds jokes and says, “Rub some dirt on it @FreedieFreeman5,” followed by a humorous video of Freeman confronting some Blue Jays fans at SickKids.
On Instagram, the official SickKids Foundation posted saying, “We never thought we’d cheer for @freddiefreeman either, but here we are.”
To donate, you can head to the official SickKids Foundation website. Here, you can make a preset donation of $50, $125 or $250 with each matched donation listed accordingly. You can also donate an amount of your choosing. Donations can be made on a one-time basis or made monthly.
