Drake Rings in 39th Birthday With Bahamas Celebration as Wait for ‘Iceman’ Continues

Drake has paused his often cryptic (but never un-headlineable) teasers for new album Iceman to ring in his 39th birthday.

As seen in photos shared on social media, the 6 God — who was born on October 24 — appears to have taken the celebration to the Bahamas this year, complete with a custom cake commemorating the kickoff of his final year in his thirties.

Family and friends from across the OVO spectrum were on hand for the birthday celebration, which comes after Yeat praised his recent “Dog House” collaborator in an interview with Eric Skelton for Complex that’s also being printed as a limited-edition zine for ComplexCon.

“Happy birthday to my baby boy,” Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, wrote on Instagram. “What a time to celebrate with the ones you love.”

Meanwhile, fans can take part in the celebration thanks to a new merch collection released in partnership with Amazon Music.

Several birthday-themed pieces are featured, including balloons and cake candles bearing the title of Drake’s 2017 project More Life. Also new to the lineup is a More Life costume kit and a party-ready commemorative cup.

Sadly, there’s still no definitive drop date for Iceman. A trio of presumed album tracks have been released so far, including the aforementioned “Dog House” with Yeat and Julia Wolf.

In a recent interview with Complex, Yeat, who previously worked with Drake on 2023’s “IDGAF,” credited the Toronto-born superstar with showing him “how to operate at a higher level” as an artist.

“Watching him do these shows and the way it’s all set up, it’s given me a lot of good insight on how you take things to the next level,” Yeat told Complex.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
