The 53-year-old from Margate in Kent had five tumours across her body and doctors found them on her brain and lungs.
She passed away suddenly at home in the company of her loved ones.
The heartbroken family said Michelle was “the rock in all of our lives”.
The seven children were still mourning the loss of their dad, Craig, who died a year ago after suffering from heart and kidney failure.
The children said they are trying to come to terms with the fact that after the double tragedy: “all we have now is each other”.
Megan Watson, Michelle’s 22-year-old daughter, told KentOnline that her two youngest siblings have SEN, which has made the grieving process far more difficult.
