Final Injury Report for Jazz-Timberwolves, Will Anthony Edwards Play?

The Minnesota Timberwolves are at home on Friday night as they host the Utah Jazz in a Western Conference matchup as part of NBA Cup group play.
Minnesota enters Friday’s game with a 4-4 record after losing to the New York Knicks on the road on Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s loss to the Knicks, Julius Randle led the way for the Timberwolves as he recorded 32 points, five rebounds and four assists while Donte DiVincenzo added 21 points, three rebounds and four assists of his own.
Now Minnesota will try to bounce back at home in Friday night’s matchup against the Jazz as they try to pick up their fifth victory of the season.
On the other side, the Jazz enter Friday’s contest with a 3-5 record after losing on the road to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Svi Mykhailiuk led the way for Utah in Wednesday’s loss as he ended the game with 28 points and two assists while Lauri Markkanen recorded 25 points and four rebounds.
While both teams are looking to pick up a key victory in Friday’s matchup, both squads may be without some of their key players due to injuries.
Jazz Injury Report
For the Jazz, they enter Friday’s contest against the Timberwolves with two players listed on their injury report.

Utah has ruled out Walker Kessler as the young center is set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery earlier in the week.

The Jazz have also ruled out Georges Niang who continues to be sidelined due to a foot injury he suffered in the offseason.
Timberwolves Injury Report, Will Anthony Edwards Play?
On the other side, the Timberwolves also enter Friday’s game with two players on their injury report, including star guard Anthony Edwards.

Minnesota has listed Edwards as questionable for Friday’s game due to a right hamstring strain, though he was able to play through the injury on Wednesday against the Knicks as he made his return from a four-game absence.

While Edwards was able to play through the injury on Wednesday, Minnesota may elect to sit him against the Jazz and if that is the case, Mike Conley could be in line for a larger role.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Terrence Shannon Jr. (00)
The Timberwolves have also listed Terrence Shannon Jr. as questionable due to left foot soreness that caused him to miss Wednesday’s game.
If Shannon Jr. is sidelined again, Rob Dillingham and Jaylen Clark could both have larger roles.
