Pistons’ Cade Cunningham hit an NBA stats record only ever done by Michael Jordan in basketball history

Cade Cunningham has joined a club previously only occupied by Michael Jordan.
The Detroit Pistons’ young superstar is keeping MJ company in NBA history.
On Monday night, the Pistons played a high-scoring overtime game with the Washington Wizards. And Cunningham had a massive night.
Before Monday, only MJ had ever had a game with at least 40 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and five steals, according to StatMuse.
Cunningham has done that now, too.
His final stats vs. the Wizards:
- 46 points
- 12 rebounds
- 11 assists
- 5 steals
- 2 blocks

But now the kicker. Cunningham took an ungodly amount of shots:
- 14-for-45 FG
- 2-for-11 3FG
- 16-for-18 FT
That’s absolutely astounding.
The Pistons were without Tobias Harris and remain with Jaden Ivey, so this was the Cunningham show.
It was a fast-paced game, so he got to just keep chucking it up.
If Cunningham had been more efficient, the game would’ve avoided overtime and he likely would’ve had a 50-point night.
But Cade still joined Michael in NBA history. So that’s not a bad outcome.
