After having their seven-game winning streak snapped, the Boston Bruins return to the ice on Saturday, Nov. 15 to face the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
This NHL game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on NESN and NHL Network. Boston’s 5-3 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday was the third straight 5-3 game the team played after beating the Toronto Maple Leafs by that score both at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and at TD Garden in Boston. The Bruins have been guided this season by a balanced scoring attack led by the trio of David Pastrnak, who leads the team in points with 13 assists and 11 goals, Morgan Geekie, who has the most goals with 12, and Charlie McAvoy, whose 14 assists are a team high. Although McAvoy didn’t get credited with any scoring against the Senators on Thursday, Pastrnak and Geekie both had a goal and assisted on the other’s goal. However, after Mark Kastelic tied the game up for Boston, they allowed a pair of goals to Tim Stutzle to seal the loss.
Now the Bruins visit another division rival up North in the Canadiens, who are 10-5-2, but losers in four of their last five, including their last two games, which were at home against the LA Kings (5-1) and the Dallas Stars (7-0). Josh Anderson scored the first goal in the loss to the Kings and Montreal has seen the visiting teams score 12 straight on the Canadiens over the last five periods of hockey played at the Bell Centre.
