Nike Book 1 What The White

The Nike Book 2 has gotta be coming soon. After a workout session with NBA trainer Chris Brickley earlier this year where Devin Booker’s footwear was conspicuously blurred out, the Phoenix star has been pulling out a litany of PEs that feel like a finale of Booker’s first signature model and a lead-in to his follow-up sequel. The latest Book 1 PE continues to bring the history of Devin’s OG signature basketball shoe into perspective.

The Nike Book 1 What The White picks up where the first Book 1 What The left off, connecting panels from the same Book 1 colorways into a mashed-up Frankenstein colorway, this time in shades of white. Just like the original What The, the white version adds safari print on the mudguard (Nike Book 1 Safari), suede on the toe (Chevy x Nike Book 1), a topography map on the midfoot (Book 1 Sedona) faux reptile skin on the eyestay (Book 1 The Hike), a Cortez-inspired heel tab (Book 1 Forrest Gump), overstitching on the Swoosh (Book 1 Halloween), “No Sir” text on the lateral heel (Book 1 Moss Point), a hit of Northern Lights color on the ankle collar (Book 1 Aurora) and finally an icy blue midsole.

Devin Booker debuted the Book 1 What The White during warm-ups before the Suns’ home loss against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, but took them off in favor of another PE. The pair he wore in-game was themed after the Converse Chuck-Taylor. Booker led the Suns on a five-game winning streak before a hard-fought loss to the Hawks this weekend, and he’s been doing so in what seems like a non-stop run of signature PEs.

So far, there are no plans for a public release of the Nike Book 1 What The White, so, like most of Booker’s on-court PEs, you’ll have to see it from the sidelines.
