With John Cena capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio on the November 10 episode of WWE Raw, there could be a new challenger on the horizon.
If Austin Theory were to return at Madison Square Garden to challenge John Cena, it could not only bring about a singles bout between the two but also bring together the reason why both end up included in WarGames.
With Theory’s character in many ways never recovering from John Cena eviscerating him in an in-ring promo segment in the lead up to WrestleMania 39, you’d be forgiven to forget that Theory actually won their eventual match.
Potentially being the segue to both bring back Theory but also put them both in WarGames, the addition of Cena to the babyface team would add a fun last accolade in his career.
