Highlights of the Arman Tsarukyan vs Dan Hooker fight in UFC Fight Night 2025

We’ve reached the end of the action at UFC Fight Night: Doha. A main card that featured five finishes in six fights, with both the main event and co-main event results opening up the landscape for potential contenders for the lightweight and welterweight titles, respectively.

Both Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker enter the ABHA Arena octagon, and the audience is eager to see a great fight that marks the return of both fighters after a long period of inactivity for different reasons, although the fans are rooting for the Armenian fighter.

Both Belal Muhammad and Ian Machado Garry enter the ABHA Arena octagon, and the crowd eagerly awaits the outcome of the fight, as another contender may emerge to challenge Islam Makhachev for the welterweight belt, alongside Michael Morales and Carlos Prates.

Both Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Shamil Gaziev are in the octagon at ABHA Arena, and the crowd is quite divided. On one side, the Dominican fighter has the support of other Latin American fighters who are present at the venue. On the other, Gaziev is the home fighter, representing Bahrain, and the Arab crowd is on his side.

The preliminary fights are over! The ABHA Arena is buzzing with excitement as the crowd awaits the main event between Tsarukyan and Hooker. Before that, we’ll have five fights that make up the main card, including the co-main event between Belal Muhammad and Ian Machado Garry, as well as the return of Waldo Cortés-Acosta after fighting three weeks ago. Here are the results as they come in:

Let’s remember that Arman Tsarukyan was set to headline UFC 311, the first numbered event of 2025, facing Islam Makhachev and seeking to take the lightweight title from him. However, a few days before the fight, the Armenian announced that he was suffering from back problems and was therefore replaced by Renato Moicano.

The 35-year-old New Zealander is coming off a decision victory over Mateusz Gamrot in a three-round bout last August 2024 at UFC 305. “The Hangman” has a record of 24-12 with 11 K.O’s and 7 submissions.

In his last fight in April 2024, specifically on the magnificent UFC 300 card, the Armenian defeated Charles Oliveira by split decision in a three-round bout. Currently, “Ahalkalakets” has a record of 22-3 with 9 K.O’s and 5 submissions.
