Star cast touch down in Sydney

The stars of the blockbuster TV series Fallout have arrived in Sydney to promote its highly anticipated Season 2.

Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten landed at Sydney Airport on Sunday where a small crowd of diehard fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood stars.

The cast was more than happy to stop for selfies and to sign autographs as they made their way through the terminal and into their waiting rides.

Goggins, who is also known for playing Rick in The White Lotus Season 3, dressed up for the arrival, wearing a grey business shirt with dark grey trousers.

Meanwhile, Purnell and Moten kept it casual. The actress, who rose to fame on the TV horror series Yellowjackets, rocked a white cropped tee and low-hanging brown pants, while the Father Stu actor wore a baggy brown suede ensemble.

The trio are due to make an appearance tonight at the Hoyts Entertainment Quarter in Sydney, where Prime Video will screen the first two episodes of Season 2 for select media and fans.

The event will kick off the global press tour ahead of the show’s worldwide launch on December 17.

The series has become a global success since it premiered on Prime Video in April 2024.

To date, Fallout Season 1 has clocked more than 100 million viewers worldwide, ranking among the streamer’s top three most-watched titles ever along with The Boys and Reacher.

Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is set in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a nuclear apocalypse more than 200 years ago.

It follows a naive young woman named Lucy (played by Purnell) who had lived underground in Vault 33 since the explosion, but catastrophic events forced her to emerge into the harsh surface world.

In her attempt to find her kidnapped father, she encounters a squire named Maximus (Moten) and bounty hunter Cooper “The Ghoul” Howard (Goggins) who have their own secret agendas.

The new season will pick up from the epic Season 1 finale where Lucy discovered her father, Hank (played by Kyle MacLachlan), is actually the bad guy responsible for destroying their desert settlement, Shady Sands.

Hellbent on finding him and bringing him to justice, Lucy continues her adventure with The Ghoul through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.

“I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it,” Goggins told Deadline earlier this year.

“[But Season 2] blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it.”

Fallout scored an impressive 16 nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards last year, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Goggins’ his stellar portrayal of The Ghoul.

Fallout Season 2 premieres Wednesday, December 17 exclusively on Prime Video, with new episodes released weekly every Wednesday
