Meet The Real-Life Partners Of The ‘Stranger Things’ Cast

Nearly a decade has passed since Stranger Things first landed on Netflix, and somehow we have nearly arrived at its fifth and final chapter with a cast that has grown from tween newcomers to fully fledged adults before our eyes.

Season five spans eight episodes released in three parts, with Part I, which includes the first four episodes, dropping on November 26.

Fans are already wondering which characters and romances will be endgame and which storylines might end in heartbreak, but luckily you won’t need to wait much longer to see how the Hawkins saga concludes.

What you can catch up on right now is what the cast has been doing between seasons, including all the romances that have unfolded off-screen. A lot has changed in the three years since we last saw Eleven and the gang face Vecna.

Millie Bobby Brown married Jake Bongiovi in May 2024, and the couple has since adopted a baby girl.

She is not the only one whose love life has made headlines. Longtime on-set couple Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton are still going strong.

Meanwhile, among the older cast members, David Harbour and Lily Allen went through a highly publicised split after four years of marriage, a breakup that received renewed attention with the release of Allen’s album West End Girl, which chronicles their relationship and his alleged affair.

Across nine years since the show began, the ensemble’s real-life relationships have evolved just as dramatically as their characters’ story arcs.

Ahead of the premiere of Stranger Things season five, here is a definitive guide to who the cast is dating now.

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi met online in 2021 and quickly grew from friends to partners, going Instagram official that November and making their red carpet debut in 2022.

After two years together, Bongiovi proposed on April 11, 2023, and they married in an intimate ceremony in May 2024, later sharing photos from a dreamy Italian celebration. In August 2025, the couple announced they had adopted a baby girl together.

Natalia Dyer & Charlie Heaton

While viewers wait to learn how Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers’ romance will conclude in the final season, they can take comfort in knowing that the actors behind the characters are still very much together.

Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton have been dating both on-screen and off for close to a decade, and their relationship has become one of the most beloved off-set love stories to come out of the series.

Heaton, now 31, recently reflected on becoming a father at just 20 years old. He shares his eleven-year-old son Archie with former bandmate Akiko Matsuura and spoke candidly about the experience in a new interview with Wonderland published on November 25.

Winona Ryder & Scott Mackinlay Hahn

Winona Ryder has been in a long-term relationship with designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn since 2011, several years before her return to television in Stranger Things.

The pair met at the Black Swan premiere in 2010 and later made their red carpet debut at the first Stranger Things premiere.

In a 2024 Harper’s Bazaar cover story, Ryder spoke warmly about Hahn, saying, “He is so great. He really is. I am really lucky.”

Joe Keery

Joe Keery split from longtime partner Maika Monroe in 2023, later describing the period as “isolating” while filming multiple projects overseas.

His current relationship status remains unclear. He was briefly linked to Chase Sui Wonders after they were spotted together in New York, and more recently sparked viral dating rumours with Sabrina Carpenter after a playful onstage moment at the 2025 Austin City Limits Festival.

David Harbour

David’s current relationship status is unknown following his split with Lily Allen.

Lily and David married in Las Vegas in 2020 and separated in early 2025. Rumours of infidelity and boundary-crossing on Harbour’s part emerged around the time of their split, and Allen reportedly sought support to navigate the emotional fallout.

Several tracks on Allen’s breakup album West End Girl, including “Tennis,” “Sleepwalking,” “Madeline” and “Dallas Major,” have been interpreted by fans as reflecting the heartbreak and alleged infidelity that occurred during their marriage.

New reports now claim Harbour has been seen spending time with costume designer Natalie Tippett, the woman many fans believe inspired the pointed track “Madeline.”

Sources allege Harbour visited the Thermea Spa Village in Winnipeg, where Tippett was also reportedly photographed, which has renewed speculation about a possible reconnection.

Sadie Sink

Sadie Sink has remained one of the busiest Stranger Things alums, moving seamlessly between prestige film, theatre and indie projects. Since her breakout in season two, she has earned acclaim for The Whale, starred in the post-apocalyptic musical O’Dessa and received a Tony nomination for John Proctor Is the Villain.

Although rumoured in the past to have dated Patrick Alwyn and Cooper Hoffman, the 23-year-old keeps her personal life firmly private, telling Teen Vogue she prefers her work to speak louder than her off-screen world.

Finn Wolfhard

Finn Wolfhard confirmed in 2025 that he is currently single and not looking to change that as he heads into the show’s final season. He told Variety that his relationship status is something he has been “thinking about right now,” especially as this moment marks a major turning point in his career.

“This is the time kind of where I have been doing the most work kind of in my life,” he explained. Because of that, he added, “Maybe it’s been subconsciously — what’s the word? — deliberate? — to not have a committed partner.”

Gaten Matarazzo & Elizabeth Yu

Gaten Matarazzo and Elizabeth Yu have been together for nearly eight years, with the couple going public in 2018. Early into their relationship, Matarazzo told Us Weekly, “My family loves her, she’s great. My brother and my sister get along with her great.”

Like Matarazzo, Yu has also found her footing at Netflix. Her breakout came in 2024 when she stepped into the role of Princess Azula in the streamer’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Maya Hawke & Christian Lee Hutson

Actress Maya Hawke has been in a relationship with musician Christian Lee Hutson for four years, though the pair have kept things relatively low-key.

They rarely appear together publicly, but were spotted in April 2025 attending John Proctor Is the Villain at the Booth Theater in New York City to support Hawke’s Stranger Things co-star Sadie Sink.

Caleb McLaughlin

Caleb McLaughlin is currently single. Speaking to Cosmo in early 2024, he admitted that dating has been challenging.

Caleb has been loosely linked to a few famous faces over the years, including his Stranger Things co-star and on-screen love interest Sadie Sink.

He was also briefly rumoured to be seeing rapper Ice Spice after the two were spotted together at an event in New York in September 2022, although neither ever addressed the speculation.

Noah Schnapp

In January 2023, Noah Schnapp publicly came out as gay in a TikTok video, according to Entertainment Tonight. The clip featured text that read, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know’.”

Although the video ended speculation about his sexuality, Schnapp has kept his romantic life private since.
