Pilot dead after planes crash mid-air

A pilot has died after two planes crashed mid-air in southwest Sydney.
Two light planes collided mid-air before one of the planes crashed into nearby bushland.
The body of a pilot, believed to be the sole occupant of the plane, was found by emergency services.
The other plane managed to land safely at the airfield, and that pilot was not injured.
The fatal collision happened just before midday in the vicinity of Napperfield Airfield in Wedderburn, near Appin.
Locals have been urged to avoid the area.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will conduct an investigation, and anyone with information has been urged to come forward.
