Storm Bram causes power outages

Over 54,000 electricity customers are without power this evening as Storm Bram tracks to the west and north west of the country.
The unpredictable storm has caused widespread disruption and has led to localised flooding, cancelled flights, school closures and damage to property, however there are no reports of any injuries.
A yellow wind warning is now in place for the south of the country, while the remaining orange wind warnings are due to expire at 7pm for counties in the West, and at 9pm for Donegal.
Locally, thousands of customers are without power in Mayo, including over 2,000 in Ballaghaderreen and other smaller groups of outages in Knock, Balla, and Castlebar.
