Unstable weather in UAE: Heavy rains expected, advisory issued; full forecast

The UAE is set to experience unstable weather in the coming week, with temperatures dipping to 13ºC.

The wettest day in the forecast is Sunday (December 14) with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected. Families planning to head outdoors need to prepare for potentially disruptive weather.

Saturday, December 13
The day will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with a chance of rainfall and over the islands, coasts, and some northern areas.
It will be humid by night and Sunday morning over some coastal and internal areas. Temperatures will be at a low of 13ºC and the highest will be 30ºC.
Light to moderate Southeasterly, becoming Northwesterly winds will blow, freshening at times, with a speed of 10 – 25, reaching 40kmph.
The sea will be slight to moderate, may become rough at times with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
Sunday, December 14
If you’re stepping out on Sunday, you should definitely carry an umbrella — Sunday is expected to be the wettest day of the week. The day will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of rainfall.
Temperatures are also set to dip, with the mercury expected to drop to 13ºC. The highest temperature on Sunday is expected to be 25ºC.
Light to moderate Northwesterly, becoming Southeasterly winds and fresh to strong at times with clouds, causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 25, reaching 45kmph.
The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
Monday, December 15
The day will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of rainfall.
Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds will blow, freshening at times, with a speed of 10 – 25, reaching 40kmph.
Temperatures will be between 12ºC and 28ºC.
Conditions at sea will be slight to moderate, may become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
Tuesday, December 16
Heavy rains are expected, weather generally will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times. Temperatures are expected to be between 15ºC and 27ºC.
Winds will blow at speeds reaching 40kmph, causing blowing dust.
Conditions sea will be moderate to rough, especially with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
