How much snow could York and Adams counties get this weekend?

PennDOT gears up for the winter of 2025-2026
PennDOT is preparing to treat the roads during inclement weather this winter, and it outlines what motorists can do to remain safe while traveling.
A few inches of snow could fall this weekend in York and Adams counties from fast-moving storms, according to the National Weather Service.
Quick-moving Alberta Clipper systems are expected to sweep across the area and produce a light accumulation, meteorologist Matt Steinbugl said.
The area could see one to two inches of snow on Friday and possibly another inch on Sunday, he said.
While these type of storms do not produce significant amounts of snow, they often impact travel, Steinbugl said.
Harrisburg International Airport has recorded 2.2 inches of snow so far this winter, he said. The southern parts of York and Adams counties would have received less snowfall.
Some school districts already have used a snow day this winter as snow fell on Dec. 2.
