Sunday NFL acca tips

Racing Post NFL expert Phil Agius has picked:

Cincinnati Bengals +2.5 vs Baltimore Ravens

Los Angeles Chargers +5.5 at Kansas City Chiefs

New York Giants -2.5 vs Washington Commanders

Buffalo Bills -1.5 at New England Patriots

Total odds: @ 12.36-1 with BoyleSports

Odds correct at time of publication

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals look set to fall short of the playoffs at 4-9, but with starting quarterback Joe Burrow back in action for the last two weeks they have looked a much more dangerous team and they won 32-14 against the Ravens in Baltimore just two weeks ago.

That was a rare strong outing for the much-maligned Bengals defence but the Ravens look vulnerable in their current mediocre state, which is some way short of the heights they were expected to hit this season, and the Bengals are worth supporting as home underdogs in this AFC North battle.

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs

The times are changing in the NFL, and the AFC in particular, where the Kansas City Chiefs’ long run as the dominant force in the conference looks to be coming to an end. The Chiefs are behind the Chargers in third place in the AFC West after losing four of their last five games and their playoff hopes are slim given their 6-7 record.

The Chargers beat the Chiefs in Brazil to open this season and they have won five of their last six games. Points could be hard to come by in cold conditions in Kansas City, so back visitors with a decent handicap start.

Washington Commanders at New York Giants

The Commanders and Giants have won only five of their 26 combined games this season and neither has won for ages. The Giants on a seven-games losing run while the Commanders are in an even bigger slump having lost eight in a row.

There have at least been some valiant efforts in defeat from the Giants in recent weeks, which can’t be said for the Commanders, and given the Big Blue are 2-3 at home compared to 0-8 on the road, siding with the home team makes sense.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots

The Buffalo Bills have won the AFC East for the last five seasons after the New England Patriots ruled the roost in 16 of the previous 17 years. The Patriots have a two-game lead with four weeks left but the Bills are capable of keeping the divisional title race alive with a road win at Gillette Stadium.

The visitors are clearly held in high regard by oddsmakers to be road favourites against a team who have won ten games in a row and while the Bills can blow hot and cold, with more players coming back from injury they are capable of getting the win they need.

NFL acca FAQs

What is an NFL accumulator (acca)?
A NFL accumulator, commonly referred to as an ‘acca’ but also known as a parlay in the US, is a single bet that combines multiple individual bets into one. Each selection within the accumulator must win for the bet to pay out, offering higher potential returns but at increased risk compared to single bets.

Can I place an acca on different markets?
Yes, you can combine various markets in an acca, including match winners, handicap, total points, touchdown scorers and more. However, most betting platforms require that selections within an accumulator are not related to ensure the bet is valid.

What is the advantage of placing an accumulator bet?
The main advantage of an accumulator bet is the potential for higher returns from a smaller stake since the odds of each selection are multiplied together. It adds excitement to watching multiple matches, as each leg of your acca needs to be successful for a return.
