How will it impact the UK?
The storm, or deep low-pressure system, will be tracking north-eastwards from the mid Atlantic through the Bay of Biscay before sweeping through the English Channel through Wednesday night into Thursday, with the biggest impacts expected across southern Britain.
Expect widespread gales across a huge swathe of southern England and Wales with damaging gusts of 65-70mph along southern coastal counties and Channel Isles.
Big battering waves generated by the strong, gusty winds will make for choppy and potentially disrupted ferry crossings.
The strongest winds will transfer east on Thursday.

After some areas collected a month’s worth of rain through Sunday and Monday, more heavy and persistent rain will accompany the strong winds.
Excess surface water will give some challenging conditions on the roads both Wednesday night and Thursday.
With saturated ground and heavy rain forecast, it’ll be worth checking the Environment Agency updates for those areas prone to flooding.
