Will F1: The Movie continue? Tim Cook and the director hint that something is up

Apple is slowly preparing to release F1 The Movie on Apple TV, but now a question is starting to be heard, which is perhaps even more in the air than the premiere stream itself, namely whether we will see a sequel to this hit. And it seems, miniAt least the creators would get to it right away.
The film enjoyed the classic blockbuster trajectory – a summer release for sales and rentals, followed by a December entry into Apple TVIt premieres on streaming on December 12th, but Variety already interviewed director Joseph Kosinski at that time. The answer was exactly what fans wanted to hear – no evasiveness, more of a subtle nod of yes, there’s talk of a sequel.
He was similarly open Tim Cookwhen asked the same question on the Emmy red carpet. According to him, the topic of a sequel is already being discussed internally and Apple he is “incredibly proud” of the success the film has brought. Cook He also praised Brad Pitt’s and the entire production’s great performance, adding that Apple can’t wait to send the film to all viewers on duty.
Kosinski then added a more personal level in an interview with Deadline. He said he would like to see where the story of Sonny Hayes, APXGP or young Joshua Pearce will go next. The creators are already reportedly playing with initial ideas and trying out where the next chapter could go. It’s nothing official, but judging by the tone, it’s clear that there is interest on all sides.
And when you add to that the fact that Apple recently snapped up the streaming rights to F1 in the US, the whole puzzle is starting to come together quite clearly. While an unexpected announcement isn’t on the table yet, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to imagine this story ending with a single film.
