Headlines warn that hospitals across the country are “creaking at the seams” as the flu outbreak spreads, and the health minister himself admits that the number of patients on trolleys is already “extraordinarily high”.
That the health minister in question was a “he” rather than the current “she” should be a clue that the headlines do not come from last week, but rather 2019, when the politician in question was Simon Harris, the current Finance Minister.
